At today's session of the Executive Committee of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), a unanimous decision was made to adopt the Recognition File for the Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade. This marks another significant milestone towards the realization of the exhibition and confirms that all the requirements and standards set for Serbia have been met. The next step is the formal adoption by the BIE General Assembly, expected to take place in November, after which the Republic of Serbia can officially begin inviting member countries of the Bureau to participate in Expo 2027.

The Recognition File outlines a detailed implementation plan, establishes operational timelines, defines legal and financial measures, presents the master plan for the Expo site, sets conditions for participating countries, and outlines the legacy plan.

As a reminder, Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali, submitted the Recognition File to the Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, Dimitri Kerkentzes, in Belgrade on September 5th of this year.

The Expo 2027 team, led by the director of the organizing company, Dušan Borovčanin, along with Serbia’s Ambassador to Paris, H.E. Ana Hrustanović, attended today’s Executive Committee session, where the progress in planning and organizing the exhibition was commended.
