This year, Belgrade is celebrating a significant anniversary – 80 years since its liberation, and on that occasion, an exhibition organized by Expo 2027 Belgrade has been opened at Kalemegdan, near the “Cvijeta Zuzorić” Art Pavilion. This creative exhibition, open until October 31st, offers an opportunity to reflect on Belgrade’s glorious past through creativity and innovation, while also imagining its future.

The exhibition is specially designed for children and youth, as it offers interactive elements and interesting stories that allow them to explore key moments from Belgrade’s history, such as the construction of the Avala Tower or the work of the “Vinča” Institute of Nuclear Sciences.

The youngest visitors will have the chance to see how Belgrade has developed, but also to learn about the future vision through Expo 2027, which will bring innovations and opportunities. In this way, the exhibition not only celebrates the past but also opens the door for future generations to boldly step into a world of new ideas and achievements.

Additionally, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Belgrade’s liberation, Expo 2027 Belgrade gathered its “future artists" in Knez Mihailova Street to show how play leads to creations that color our reality. The children gathered in the city center used their artwork to color the world, thus inviting passersby to be part of Expo 2027 Belgrade, which is being held with the theme Play for Humanity.
